  • What’s in a Name?

In Norse mythology, the World Tree, Yggdrasil, was an enormous sacred ash tree whose branches and roots supported the universe and connected the nine different worlds. These themes of global connections and the importance of nature are at the heart of this website. The name also reflects the Scandinavian heritage of The World Tree's author, whose initials conveniently happen to spell ASH.
